University of Deusto

The university of Deusto is a magnificent building opened in 1886 that stands just in front of the Bilbao Guggenheim Museum, upon the river, so that there is an excellent contrast between modernity and classicism which can be really interesting for film shooting.

The beautiful campus has great gardens with colourful and lush vegetation all around. This picturesque landscape is very appealing and elegant, especially in spring, when most trees are in blossom.

When shooting a film the main building of the university is the one offering the most interesting settings, since its classical cloisters of big stone arcades evoke past times.

Thus, we find many suitable spots for film shooting, such as the library, the auditorium, some corridors, the assembly hall, the Romanesque or gothic chapels, quite small but with an unquestionable aesthetic and cultural value.
