Tram

The Bilbao tram is a modern transport system opened in 2002 and whose single line travels mainly from Abandoibarra to the Casco Viejo offering attractive views of Bilbao and some of its green areas.

The tram is formed by modern carriages and moves in perfect harmony with cars and pedestrians all around the city, combining the traffic of ones and others and giving Bilbao a particular look.

In addition to this, we must point out first that the tram is not a very common transport in the cities, so it makes Bilbao different. Second, its modernism and the fact that it travels across some of the most picturesque spots in the city give an extra appeal to its coaches and stations.

Interesting areas: the trip across Abandoibarra, from the Palacio Euskalduna to beyond the Guggenheim Museum near the City Hall.
