Festivals in Bilbao kick off the following Saturday to Nuestra Señora de Begoña celebration on August 15th, and take place across the whole city.
Known as Aste Nagusia ("Big Week" in Basque), these festivals are an important meeting point for those who want to discover the festive atmosphere of the city for 10 days, which becomes a place for entertainment and show for children and adults.
The International Fireworks contest light the city's sky every night, which attracts thousands to the banks of the Nervión to admire this brilliant show.
The Big Week is characterised by the splendid atmosphere on the streets, where the main squares turn big stages for numerous music bands.
Bullfighting is another show also worth mentioning. An important tradition in the city, there are bullfights everyday at the Vista Alegre bullring.
Thus, the whole city turns a big stage for filming, where every corner turns interesting to shoot due to different atmospheres, as children, adults and youngsters come out to the streets 24 hours a day.
