Municipal Library of Bidebarrieta

The Municipal Library of Bidebarrieta is a modernist-style construction built at the end of the 19th century. Considered one of the most beautiful buildings in Bilbao, it is located in the old part of the city, very close to the Arriaga Theatre, in the pedestrian area.

Its facades are bolstered, with an enormous main entrance with a big rosette over it and many decorative elements on its row of balconies.

Smart and visually striking, the building is an attractive construction within an urban area where the surrounding blocks are of classical nature.

Inside the library, the main hall is outstanding. The modernist style is the main feature in the hall turning it into one of the referent places in the city concerning this style.
